Q & A for our building campaign
Find answers to common questions about our building campaign below.
Q: What is a fundraising campaign?
A fundraising campaign is a brief season when our aim is to highlight a project which needs to be funded beyond our normal budgetary boundaries. During that season the project vision and needs will be presented, followed by a time when financial pledges for that project will be submitted.
Q: What is our debt situation?
We have no debt currently.
Q: May I see a copy of our current budget?
Yes. See Kevin Wooten if you would like a copy of the 2015 budget.
Q: How do I and my family participate in the campaign?
During the month of May we will have a prayer guide available for our families to use. This prayer guide will give direction, ask a few questions, and challenge your faith walk. Life Groups will take some time in May to also talk about this project and how we each can participate in this experience. During the month of June, pledges toward the project will be gathered.
Q: How do I contribute?
You begin by making a pledge. Complete a pledge card and place it in the designated box kept in the front foyer, mail it in the envelope that came your your campaign materials, or submit a pledge online. You may give a one-time gift or extend your pledge over as much as a 3 year period. You may donate cash or any gift of value. Actual donations do not need to begin until August 1, 2015.
Q: Is participation required or restricted to members?
No. We welcome financial contributions from former members and kingdom friends..
Q: Is my commitment confidential?
Yes. Your pledge will only be known to three building committee members.
Q: What if my circumstances change?
We trust each person will do their best to honor their pledge. We also understand life happens to us in unexpected ways. No one will ever be pressured in this journey. If you are unable to honor your commitment, please let us know.
Q: What if the funds raised are insufficient to accomplish a Replacement Option?
You will be notified of the pledge amount and Option chosen in August. If Renovate was the option chosen, you will be given an opportunity to adjust your pledge.
Q: How can I be praying for our church during this campaign?
Follow along with our prayer guide during the month of May.
